Product Introduction
The equal cross is a type of four-way fitting that has one inlet and three outlets, with all outlets having the same diameter. The short welded cross is used to fix pipes together and weld them onto the pipeline. Caution should be exercised during welding, as the weld must withstand the flow pressure from different pipelines. The short welded cross is also known as a straight cross. It is a butt-weld pipe fitting used for branching pipelines. If the main pipe and the branch pipe have the same inner diameter, an equal cross pipe is needed. The equal Sanitary cross tee has almost the same performance as the equal tee, but it can branch the pipe into four directions, hence it is also called a 4-way cross fitting or a 4-way tee fitting.
Difference Between Long and Short Welded Cross Piece
The main difference between long and short welded cross joints lies in their centerline radius: the radius of a long radius elbow is 1.5 times the pipe diameter, while the radius of a short radius elbow is equal to the pipe diameter.

Welded Cross Piece Inspection
All equal cross pipes are inspected and tested according to the relevant product standards (such as ASME/ANSI, etc.) or specifications, as well as the requirements in the purchase order. Stainless steel short welded cross pressure tests or hydrostatic tests should be conducted using water with a chloride content of less than 30 ppm. All welds in welded butt-weld fittings should be 100% radiographically inspected according to a single ASTM standard. Ultrasonic inspection is not allowed as a substitute for radiographic inspection. Contractors or their authorized third-party inspectors can review and/or witness the inspections and/or tests at our factory. We are responsible for notifying the contractor of the availability of goods for inspection and testing. The inspection is carried out according to the "Vendor Quality Requirements" form attached to the inquiry/purchase order. As the manufacturer, we submit a material certificate officially certified by the inspector.
