Verify Hose Inner Diameter
Before installation, confirm that the inner diameter of each hose matches the ØD of the selected fitting. An undersized hose will resist insertion and risk tearing; an oversized hose will not grip the barbs reliably. Refer to the dimensional table above for available bore sizes.

Prepare the Hose Ends
Cut all three hose ends cleanly and squarely using a hose cutter or sharp blade. A clean, perpendicular cut ensures full contact between the hose wall and the barbed profile and reduces the risk of leaks at the joint. Remove any burrs or debris from the cut face.

Soften the Hose End and Apply Lubrication
For tight hoses, warm the hose end in hot water (60–80°C) for 30–60 seconds to improve flexibility. Apply silicone grease or soapy water to the barb. Avoid open flames and petroleum-based lubricants, which may damage rubber hoses.

Insert the Fitting
Push the hose end firmly onto the barbed port with a straight, even force, rotating slightly as you push. Continue until the hose end clears the last barb rib and seats fully against the fitting shoulder. Repeat for all three ports.

For pressurised or vibrating systems, secure each barbed connection with a hose clamp placed behind the outer barb. Tighten to the recommended torque and avoid overtightening to prevent hose damage.
