Choosing the right port type determines how flow is routed through the valve. Both T-port and L-port variants share identical external dimensions and mounting interfaces - the difference lies entirely in the internal ball channel geometry.
T-Port
T-Port allows three flow paths: straight-through, 90° diversion, or full mixing/splitting between all three ports simultaneously. Best suited for processes requiring flow distribution or combining from two sources into one outlet.
L-Port
L-Port connects only two of the three ports at any given position, routing flow in an L-shaped path. A 90° handle rotation switches which two ports are active. Preferred for straightforward A-to-B or B-to-C switching without cross-flow.
