Overview
A close nipple is a short pipe fitting with external threads on both ends, designed for pipeline and piping systems. Because it is fully threaded along its entire length, with no unthreaded section, it allows for compact installation in limited spaces. Stainless steel versions are especially suitable for applications that require tight, space-saving connections and minimal joint length. The overall length depends on the thread length. When installed between two internally threaded fittings, there is virtually no exposed unthreaded section, and the connection is extremely compact. As a result, the two fittings sit very close to each other, and the joint appears almost flush. When ordering stainless steel products of this type, please specify the nominal size followed by the "close" type, for example: 1/2".
