Stainless Steel Bushing

Stainless steel bushings, also known as reducing joints (hexagonal internal and external threaded joints), are generally made by cutting and forging hexagonal bars. There are many types of threads used. The stainless steel hex bushing is a pipe fitting with internal and external threads, used to connect two sections of pipes with different diameters. It plays an irreplaceable role in pipe connections.

Stainless steel bushings are used when a pipe needs to change diameter. For example, if a DN15 pipe needs to be reduced to a DN20 pipe. The DN15 pipe is an external threaded pipe, connected to the internal threaded end of a cast stainless hex bushings. The DN20 pipe is an internal threaded pipe, connected to the external threaded end of the stainless steel hex bushing. If the DN20 pipe is an external threaded pipe, an internal thread reducer can be connected between the DN20 external threaded pipe and the threaded steel bushing. Threaded connections allow easy connection to any water appliance or valve, and are commonly used in both industrial and residential settings to change pipe diameters by connecting internal and external threads.

 

A stainless steel bushing has one internal thread and one external thread, and it can also have socket connections and threaded connections based on the situation.

 

A reducing elbow (reducer pipe), on the other hand, has internal threads on both ends.
